Senior Investment Advisor Representative

In 1983, Dave, along with Dan and Bill, founded Pihl, Gutierrez, Garretson and Roberts, Inc., a successful retirement plan and actuarial consulting firm in the Bay Area that was later sold to a national firm. Dave is currently a member of the Rotary Club of San Jose and co-founded the South Bay Forum, a group of professionals and business leaders that met weekly to discuss business and political issues. Dave is very positive about today’s youth and is actively involved with Rotary's Enterprise Leadership Conference. Each year he helps organize a three day conference to teach high school juniors, educating and exciting them about all aspects of business.

Out of the Office

Dave enjoys travelling, bicycling and classic sports cars. As a Bay Area sports fan, he has had the good fortune to attend many fine sporting events. He was in attendance for such exciting moments as “The Catch” by the San Francisco 49ers’ Dwight Clark and the perfect game thrown by Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants.
